Sandvik is a gold sponsor of PMTi2022, held in Montréal, Canada this August.
The sixth edition of PMTi2022: Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of Titanium, is going hybrid and takes place August 29-31, 2022. Held at McGill University in Montréal, Canada, PMTi2022 bring together experts from all over the world for three days of technology transfer and academic exchange.
Paul A Davies, PhD, Technical Solutions Manager, Sandvik Additive Manufacturing
Presenting “Effect of Hot Isostatic Pressing on the Performance of Heat-Treated Ti-6Al-4V Alloys Manufactured via Laser Powder Bed Fusion" (by Leandro Feitosa, PhD) at session 3, August 29,
and "Effect of Building Orientation and Specimen Position on the Properties Ti-6Al-4V Alloys Manufactured via L-PBF" at session 11, August 31.
Paul Davies studied physics at Swansea University, Wales, U.K., and completed a PhD in the field of Material Science. He has five years’ experience working in the steel industry in the automotive and defense sectors and has been with Sandvik for more than 15 years. He specializes in powder metallurgy, with a particular focus on Metal Injection Molding and Additive Manufacturing.
Dr. Leandro Feitosa is a materials scientist and engineer with vast experience and knowledge in the materials technology, research, and metallurgy. He concluded his PhD at the University of Leicester in 2018, with a focus on developing new materials for high-temperature applications such as gas turbines for aircraft engines, via additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy processing methods.
