As we’re nearing the end of 2022, we look back on another eventful year with plenty of opportunities for us to meet and interact with our partners and customers across the additive market. First off, we’d like to thank you all for visiting us at AMUG, Rapid+TCT, and Formnext – as well as many other interesting events. Closing the exhibition year at Formnext in Germany this November, we displayed our key Osprey® metal powders including copper, cobalt-free maraging steel, nickel-based superalloys, and titanium.
We are beyond excited to have pre-launched our soon-to-be-launched webshop Osprey® Online at Formnext 2022. With the grand opening anticipated in Q1 2023, we dare say this is excellent news for those looking to access premium metal powders tailored for additive manufacturing, hassle-free and directly from the source, from any device – at any time. By registering now to receive more information, you also get to enjoy 5% off your first order with us!
Another key happening of 2022 is the introduction of our additively manufactured cemented carbides – where we developed a patented process alongside our unique material, enabling the production of wear-resistant components in virtually any shape, lasting up to 20 times longer compared to any other steel or metal alloy.
In July, we also launched a brand-new website designated to our offering of controlled expansion alloys – tailored to withstand extreme temperature variations and fit for a wide range of demanding applications. Visit our CE Alloys website
We are humbled and proud to have 3D printed Humanium Metal’s Freedom Brooch for Oleksandra Matviichuk, head of Center for Civil Liberties (CCL) and the Nobel Peace Prize laureate 2022, in honor of their courageous work. Created at our AM center in Sandviken, Sweden, the beauty of this brooch lies in its symbolic design and the material transformation from destroyed, illegal firearms – into the Humanium Metal powder used in the build. The original idea and sketches were made by Ukranian artist Tamara Rogozina, with inspiration from CCL’s freedom-symbolic logo, the Ukranian coat of arms, and the values of peace, freedom, and democracy.
Finally, we hope you enjoyed consuming as much as we enjoyed sharing the continuous insights into our expert’s work of driving the shift toward more sustainable manufacturing. Whether it’s related to our front-running endeavors with Osprey® 2507 super-duplex stainless steel, or deep-diving in the potential of additively manufactured titanium in aerospace, we are happy to provide you with support and expertise along the additive value chain – this year, as well as in the next.
We wish you all the best this holiday season, and look forward to keep driving the industrialization of additive manufacturing in 2023, together with you!
