Osprey® 80A is an age-hardenable nickel-based superalloy with a high chromium content and titanium and aluminium additions. The alloy is developed for high-temperature applications in the aerospace, power generation (gas turbines), nuclear and automotive industries with operating temperatures up to 815°C (1,500°F). Osprey® 80A is an alloy of the same type as Nimonic® 80A* with molybdenum addition.

Osprey® metal powder is manufactured by Inert Gas Atomization (IGA), producing a powder with a spherical morphology which provides good flow characteristics and high packing density. In addition, the powder has a low oxygen content and low impurity levels, resulting in a metallurgically clean product with enhanced mechanical performance.

*Nimonic® is a trademark owned by Special Metals.
